Imagine traveling on foot, bicycle or horseback through coastal Georgia, winding through arches of live oak trees on your way to tour one of many historical or recreational sites.

Woodbine Riverwalk dedicated to ECG

During Woodbine’s Arbor Day celebration, a dedication ceremony was held for the Woodbine Riverwalk as the first segment of the East Coast Greenway in Georgia. As mentioned in Jacksonville’s Florida Times-Union, the 1.9 mile trail includes a segment on the Satilla River and continues southward along an old railbed. Plans include extension for an additional mile along the railbed, and ultimately connection with a trail leading into St. Marys.

Camden County has been very active of late, and with Camden Bicycle Center’s Terry Landreth serving on the East Coast Greenway Trail Council, there is undoubtedly more to come.
